Akanksha Salaria
Akanksha Salaria is an undergraduate student in Jyothi Nivas College, Bangalore, India. She is an environmental enthusiast who joined hands with the cofounders Adarsha and Apoorva in December of 2008. She was instrumental in arranging the first press conference( press club meeting) in Mysore, India. After the project presentation, she interviewed the selected journalists, scientists farmer leaders, and field workers to assess the feasibility of Project Jatropha. She has taken the video footage of the project work on many occasions to distribute to the media. She has worked closely with Adarsha in choosing potential advisory committee members and convincing them to join the team. She visits the project site when needed for updates, and has taken a vital role in fund raising activities for Phase II of Project Jatropha. Her excellent communication skills has attracted many generous donors .She has also established links with companies and prominent individuals in India, who are interested in contributing to our project and continues to raise funds to meet the financial obligations of Project Jatropha.
